Dental Assistant I, II, or III
Position Summary
An on-call Dental Assistant position is available at our Monroe Dental Clinic. In addition, this position may be required to travel to Everett, Marysville, and Lynnwood clinics to cover open shifts. The candidate will assist the dental provider in delivering dental procedures allowed by the WA State Dental Practice Act. Other responsibilities include assisting the provider in Restorative, Prosthodontics, Endodontics, Orthodontics, Oral Surgery procedures, and any other procedures allowed by the WA Dental Practice Act. Duties also include maintaining proper records for Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), spore tests, inventory of dental supplies, assisting in training new Dental Assistants, and organizing schedules to generate checklists for maintenance of dental procedures.
Qualifications and/or Experience
- Valid WA State license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Organizational skills
- Dental record experience
- Familiarity with the utilization of computers
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to communicate, read, and write in English and interpret common written material about dentistry
- PREFERRED: Bilingual in English/Spanish
- PREFERRED: Previous ortho experience
Dental Assistant I
- Minimum of 18 months of work experience in a Dental Assistant position
Dental Assistant II
- Completed a formal Dental Assistant program at a College, Technical Institute, or equivalent
- Minimum of 6 months of work experience
Dental Assistant III
- Knowledgeable of proper sterilization methods and OSHA regulations including QI
- Able to duplicate and mount radiographs, place temporary restorations, take impressions, pour and trim models, place retraction cord, place matrix bands, perform coronal polish, and give fluoride treatments
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a Dental Assistant position
