DC Operations Manager in Training
About the role

Responsibilities
- Aid the DC manager in overseeing all aspects of a single distribution center, including service, physical assets, operating costs, and team members.
- Ensure compliance with company operations, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain payroll, budgeting, inventory integrity, productivity, etc.
- Provide training, guidance, and counseling to DC team members.
- Manage a staff of 1-15 supervisors and up to 300 hourly team members.
- Establish and support annual goals and plans for the DC.
- Support recruiting, hiring, and training practices with the DC manager and HR.
- Conduct timely performance evaluations of all team members.
- Assist in preparing and obtaining approval for annual operating budgets.
- Monitor and coordinate expenditures within the department, and approve any exceeding $1,000.
- Provide a safe working environment and manage risk-related costs.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent (GED)
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Above average computer skills
- 2+ years’ experience as a distribution center supervisor with a proven record of success
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple departments within one center
- Desired college degree or logistics certification
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
