Data Center Project Manager, Critical Project Implementation

About the role

The Critical Projects Implementation (CPI) team manages construction activity within operational data center spaces. They oversee critical infrastructure improvement projects to optimize space, power, and cooling. This role involves managing projects in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure in an operational space.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and review projects involving electrical, mechanical, controls, and architectural disciplines.
• Identify areas for improvement and act on data provided from other teams and organizations.
• Design, develop, and deploy innovative solutions to address operational challenges.
• Work independently and within multi-disciplinary teams to manage projects.
• Manage the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific projects.

Requirements

• 5+ years of construction or project management experience.
• 5+ years of experience managing projects in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure in an operational space.
• Experience prioritizing and delivering projects on time in a fast-moving environment.
• Experience understanding electrical and mechanical systems involved in critical data center operations.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage trade-offs, incorporate feedback, and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or similar Technical focus.
• Proven track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow-through on projects.

Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
