About the role

The Data Center Project Manager serves as a technical resource within Amazon data centers. They are responsible for overseeing and reviewing projects involving electrical, mechanical, controls, and architectural disciplines. The role involves identifying areas for improvement and acting on data provided from various teams and organizations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy innovative solutions to address operational challenges in data center facilities.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure consistent alignment with company strategy, commitments, and goals.
• Oversee and coordinate project implementation, execution, control, and completion.
• Manage projects in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure in an operational space, with a focus on facilities requiring a 24/7 emergency backup system, manufacturing facilities, mass transportation, oil and gas, utility, hospitals, or similar industries.
• Manage projects involving electrical, mechanical, or data center engineering, with a focus on on-site construction trades such as electrical, mechanical, and general trades.

Requirements

• 5+ years of construction or project management experience.
• 5+ years of experience managing projects in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure in an operational space.
• 5+ years of experience in on-site construction trades (mechanical, electrical, general).
• Can work proactively and independently, meet deadlines, and deliver on projects and tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage trade-offs, incorporate feedback, and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, construction management, or a similar technical focus (preferred).
• 5+ years of electrical or mechanical experience (preferred).
• 5+ years of data center engineering experience (preferred).

Base salary range: $111,300.00 - $186,100.00 USD annually.
