Data Center Project Manager, Critical Projects Implementation
About the role
The Critical Projects Implementation (CPI) team is a project management and execution team that manages construction activity within the operational data center spaces. The CPI team is tasked with critical infrastructure improvement projects to optimize utilization of space, power, and cooling within operational data centers around the globe. These activities are outside of the scope of standard construction delivery and regular preventative maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities
- Identify areas for improvement as well as act on data provided from other teams and organizations
- Design, develop, and deploy innovative solutions to address operational challenges
- Oversee and review all disciplines including electrical, mechanical, controls, and architectural
- Ensure consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals
- Manage project oversight and execution, control, and completion
Requirements
- A fundamental understanding of electrical, mechanical, fire detection, and building automation systems
- Experience carrying new design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production
- Experience in MS Excel, Word, and Windows Operating Systems
- Experience with power management and power monitoring systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of project management in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure experience
- Knowledge of critical data center equipment
- Knowledge of engineering documentation, electrical diagrams, and standard operating procedures
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations including Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, or OSHA
- Experience in project management in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure
- Experience in Data Center Engineering Operations, with a deep understanding of electrical and mechanical data center infrastructure
- Experience reading and interpreting construction specifications and drawings for all domains

- Ability to design, develop, and deploy innovative solutions to address operational challenges
- Independent contribution as well as the ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams
- Experience in improving electrical, mechanical, fire detection, and building automation systems

Pay
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
