About The Role
Launch Potato is seeking a highly skilled Lead Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to oversee and enhance our reporting infrastructure across multiple verticals including Credit Cards, Make Money/Manage Money, Banking, and Marketplace. This role is pivotal in transforming raw, complex, and unstructured data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in business intelligence or analytics, with direct exposure to performance or affiliate marketing.
- Expertise in SQL and comfortable working with unstructured, complex data sources.
- Proven experience in reporting ownership, standardization, and driving data adoption across teams.
- Strong proficiency in performance marketing optimization, connecting data to business levers such as campaign performance, conversion rates, and revenue per session.
- Advanced knowledge of LookML development or equivalent tools such as Power BI or Tableau for complex model architecture.
- Demonstrated curiosity and depth of business understanding, with a focus on asking insightful questions and becoming a trusted analytical partner.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical insights into actionable business recommendations.
- Experience working with messy, third-party data and partnering closely with cross-functional teams to uncover meaningful trends and insights.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage the reporting infrastructure across multiple verticals, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and usability of dashboards and reports.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into scalable reporting solutions.
- Standardize and improve existing dashboards, establishing best practices for data visualization and reporting.
- Develop and maintain complex LookML models or equivalent, understanding downstream impacts and ensuring data integrity.
- Conduct retrospective analyses across experiments, creatives, offers, seasonality, and CAC performance to uncover actionable insights.
- Partner with business teams to understand key performance drivers and develop data-driven strategies to optimize outcomes.
- Build and foster data literacy within teams, promoting self-service analytics and best practices for data analysis.
- Proactively identify data discrepancies or issues, engaging stakeholders early and driving resolution.
- Communicate insights effectively through presentations and reports tailored to different audiences.
- Stay current with industry trends and continuously improve technical skills and business acumen.
