Delivers and assists with patient meal services, stocks supplies, transports patients, and performs messenger functions. Performs cleaning duties, including cleaning/restocking bedside equipment and performing the initial cleaning of instruments/other equipment. Ensures compliance with all safety, sanitation, and quality control requirements associated with assigned responsibilities. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
Responsibilities
- Deliver and assist with patient meal services
- Stock supplies
- Transport patients
- Perform messenger functions
- Clean and restock bedside equipment
- Perform initial cleaning of instruments and other equipment
- Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and quality control requirements

Requirements
- Able to read and write in English
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
Qualifications
- Preferred: High school diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam
Physical Requirements
- May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk intermittently during the day
- May need to sit or stand for extended periods
- Must see and hear in the normal visual and audio ranges with or without correction
- Ability to lift 250–300 pounds with assistance
- Ability to push/pull up to 500 pounds with assistance
- Some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids
- Some exposure to chemicals and cleaning products
