Patient Care Partner

Duties

• Provide basic patient care, including vital signs, blood glucose monitoring, intake/output documentation
• Absorb and report abnormal findings to nursing staff
• Maintain clean and orderly patient rooms
• Perform clerical duties to support the nursing station
• Conduct 12-lead EKGs

Requirements

• Ability to lift/move patients and equipment
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic computer use
• Strong interpersonal and decision-making skills
• Experience with infection control and hospital safety standards

Qualifications

• Postsecondary (Cert/Diploma/Program Grad) completion of Nursing Asst, Patient Care Tech, Medical Assistant or Emergency Medical Tech program
• Some College Coursework Completed in an accredited school of nursing to include successful completion of at least 1 semester
• CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant or CMA or EMT upon hire
• BCLS - Basic Life Support upon hire or within facility-specified time frame
• 1+ years patient care experience in a hospital setting (preferred)
