About the role
As a Customer Service Logistics Coordinator, you will help drive Johnson Matthey's goals by:
- Planning and processing outbound shipments from the United States, ensuring all documentation and quotations meet regulatory and trade compliance requirements.
- Coinciding order-to-shipment execution, including shipment scheduling and alignment with customer delivery requirements.
- Reviewing demand variances and ensuring accurate demand signals are reflected in ERP/MRP systems.
- Partnering with Planning, Quality, Warehouse, Project Management and Commercial teams to support customer commitments.
- Monitoring on-time delivery performance, analysing delays, identifying root causes and escalating risks where required.
- Acting as a logistics advisor on customs, incoterms and route changes, ensuring compliant outbound finished goods movements.
Key skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience in manufacturing or supply chain operations with working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
- Understanding of import/export regulations, customs processes and global trade compliance.
- Strong organisational and analytical skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a customer-focused approach.
- Clear and effective communication skills, with the confidence to collaborate across functions.
