Customer Service / Inside Sales

About the role

Applied Industrial Technologies is seeking a full-time creative, resourceful customer service representative (CSR) to work on-site in Chula Vista, CA. The ideal candidate will provide professional and timely support to the sales team and customers.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Managers to find products and services, solve customer needs, and build ongoing positive business relationships.
• Customer inquiries, quotes, order processing, expediting / returns
• Sourcing parts
• Aid in generating sales
• Help in the stockroom as needed, deliver orders to customers as needed

Requirements

• 1+ year customer service or inside sales, mechanical or maintenance experience. Industrial distribution or parts counter environment preferred
• Attention to detail, accuracy, ability to multitask, sense of humor
• Written and verbal communication skills, including English grammar
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Mechanical aptitude
• Computer knowledge including Excel. SAP/ERP experience a plus
• Valid driver's license & clean driving record (MVR)

Pay and Schedule

• The typical estimated hourly rate range for this position and location is $20.00 – 22.00/hr depending on experience.
• Potential bonus opportunity is tied to location and individual performance and has averaged $100 – 200 per month.
