Customer Service / Inside Sales
About the role
Applied Industrial Technologies is seeking a full-time creative, resourceful customer service representative (CSR) in Tualatin, OR. The role involves providing professional and timely support to the sales team and customers.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Account Managers to find products and services, solve customer needs, and build ongoing positive business relationships.
- Handle customer inquiries, quotes, order processing, expediting, and returns.
- Sourcing parts as needed.
- Aid in generating sales.
- Assist in the stockroom and deliver orders to customers as needed.
Qualifications
- 1+ year customer service or inside sales experience.
- Industrial distribution or parts counter experience a plus.
- Hydraulic, bearings, or power transmission knowledge preferred.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, ability to multitask, and a sense of humor.
- Written and verbal communication skills, including English grammar.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Basic computer skills including Excel.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record (MVR).

What You’ll Do
In our fast-paced team environment, you will partner with our customers and Account Managers to find products and services, solve customer needs, and build ongoing positive business relationships. Customer inquiries, quotes, order processing, expediting / returns, sourcing parts, assisting in generating sales, and assisting in the stockroom and delivering orders to customers as needed are some of the tasks you will perform.
