About the role
Applied Industrial Technologies is seeking a full-time creative, resourceful customer service representative (CSR) in Portland, OR. This role involves providing professional and timely support to our sales team and customers.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Account Managers to find products and services, solve customer needs, and build ongoing positive business relationships.
- Handle customer inquiries, quotes, order processing, expediting, and returns.
- Sourcing parts as needed.
- Aid in generating sales.
- Assist in the stockroom and deliver orders to customers as needed.
Qualifications
- 1+ year customer service or inside sales experience.
- Industrial distribution or parts counter experience a plus.
- Hydraulic, bearings, or power transmission knowledge preferred.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, ability to multitask, and a sense of humor.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including English grammar.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Basic computer skills including Excel.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record (MVR).

Schedule
Hours are 7:30 am – 4:00 pm Monday through Friday.
