Job Summary

Facilities Management at CU Boulder is seeking applications for 2 Custodial Staff positions. These roles involve cleaning and sanitizing facilities across the Boulder Campus for students, staff, faculty, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Team Cleaning Program: Rotate through different specialist positions, performing duties as scheduled on area floor plans. May perform multiple specialist duties simultaneously and assist in team assignments.

• Safety and Compliance: Notify supervisors of safety incidents, participate in safety meetings, and complete assigned trainings. Ensure safe work practices and follow departmental policies.

• Snow and Ice Removal: Clear snow and ice from walkways and stairs, apply de-icing agents as needed, and maintain accessibility.

• Specialty and Emergency Work: Respond to emergency situations, including flood cleanup, moving heavy furniture, and participating in safety programs.

• Routine Duties: Maintain custodial equipment, empty and clean vacuums, and ensure the custodial workstation is clean and well-stocked.

• Communication and Teamwork: Communicate effectively and work independently and collaboratively.

Qualifications

• Colorado residency required.

• At least six months of relevant occupational experience.

• Ability to communicate effectively.

• Ability to work independently and in a team setting.

Essential Services

This position is designated as essential services. Incumbents must respond to work requests during campus emergencies and report to work during emergency campus closures.
