Custodian I - 8.0 hours per day - Tournament Hills Elementary

About the role

The Custodian I position at Tournament Hills Elementary (Beaumont Unified School District) involves keeping an assigned food service area clean, sanitary, safe, and orderly; securing rooms and buildings; and performing related custodial work. The role is typically assigned to an afternoon or evening shift and reports to the Maintenance, Operations, and Transportation Supervisor and/or Principal through delegation of the Food Service Director.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of assigned food service areas.
• Secure rooms and buildings.
• Perform related custodial duties as required.
• Work the afternoon/evening shift (2:30 pm – 11:00 pm) with a 30‑minute lunch break.

Requirements

• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in cleaning and maintaining building areas.

Qualifications

• Proof of high school graduation (HS diploma, transcripts, GED, or higher education degree).

Pay

Salary range: $21.63 – $29.60 per hour. Up to three (3) years of experience outside Beaumont USD may be credited, giving a maximum starting hourly rate of $24.33 for external hires.

Schedule

Full‑time, 12‑month work year, Monday–Friday, 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm (includes a 30‑minute lunch break). A 5% night differential applies to the evening shift.
