Custodian I - 8.0 hours per day - Beaumont High School
Beaumont Unified School District is located in the scenic San Gorgonio Pass, between Palm Springs and Southern California’s Inland Empire. The district supports the growing communities of Beaumont, Cherry Valley, and portions of Calimesa and Banning, serving over 12,000 students across seven elementary schools, two middle schools, a comprehensive high school, a middle college high school, an alternative school, a home education program, and a large adult education program.
About the role
Under general supervision, the Custodian I maintains cleanliness, sanitation, safety, and order in assigned areas, secures rooms and buildings, and performs related duties. This position reports to the Maintenance, Operations, and Transportation Supervisor or Principal through delegation of the Food Service Director. Assignments may include afternoon or evening shifts.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize assigned food service areas and other building spaces
- Maintain safety and order in assigned areas
- Secure rooms and buildings
- Perform related duties as required
Requirements
- One (1) year of experience in cleaning and maintaining building areas
- Proof of high school graduation (diploma, transcripts, GED, or higher education degree)
Pay
Hourly pay range: $21.63 – $29.60. A maximum of three (3) years of experience outside Beaumont USD may be granted, with a maximum starting hourly rate of $24.33 for external hires.
Schedule
- 12-month position, Monday – Friday
- 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM (includes a 30-minute lunch break)
- 5% night differential applies
