About the role

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Appleton, WI, offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about. Drivers operate solo routes delivering to WI, MN, and IL, returning home daily. The position uses a day‑cab tractor pulling dry‑van or Conestoga trailers, with forklift and pallet‑jack equipment provided (training included). Ryder will purchase your truck and support you each step of the way, and you earn unlimited referral bonuses for hired drivers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards and guidelines.
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards.
• Maintain accurate records and logs.
• Load and unload freight or assist with loading/unloading as required by the customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass a Ryder drug test.
• Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check (including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years).
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months within the past 3 years, OR 2 years within the last 5 years, OR 5 years within the last 10 years.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures.

Skills

• Manual transmission experience preferred.
• Ability to operate forklift and pallet jack (training provided).
• Safe driving and hazard detection.
• Accurate record‑keeping and log maintenance.

Pay

• Weekly earnings of $1,385 or more.
• Average weekly pay $1,250.
• Hourly rate $27.00, with overtime after 40 hours.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
