About the role

We're looking for a Cultural Resources Project Manager who can help us shape how electricity is generated, transmitted, and delivered. You'll work alongside industry experts to ensure reliable, resilient, and sustainable power systems that benefit communities and industries.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage all aspects of small to medium cultural resources projects or large, routine projects.
  • Support Senior Project Management team on large scale projects.
  • Develop, maintain, and update schedules and spending plans; track progress, identify variances, and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage administrative aspects of cultural resources projects under the Antiquities Code of Texas, National Historic Preservation Act, National Environmental Policy Act, and other applicable federal, state, and municipal regulations.
  • Serve as primary or secondary author on cultural resource technical reports.
  • Work with multi-disciplinary teams in our transportation, water, power, industrial, and oil and gas sectors in the South Central region and nationally.
  • Collaborate with existing CRM team leaders responsible for managing archaeological surveys and site documentation, including feature and artifact identification and analyses.
  • Supervise cultural resources specialists in office settings.
  • Peer review draft reports and desktop background reviews produced by Project Archaeologists and other Principal Investigators before final content review.
  • Facilitate/participate in project reviews in collaboration with Accounting and technical team management.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Technical knowledge to supervise cultural resources specialists in office settings.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds without assistance.
  • Effective communication in person, by telephone and email.
  • Ability to work in minimally supervised and/or unsupervised environments.
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License.
  • Ability to operate a vehicle day or night.
  • Less than 10% travel required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related field and a minimum of ten years’ experience.
  • Project Management Professional certification.
  • Experience managing cultural resource projects comprised of archaeology, architectural history, and tribal engagement.
  • National Historic Preservation Act - Section 106 coordination management.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years related experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years project management experience.
  • Ability to interact with various design teams.
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and communication (both written and verbal) skills.
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
