About the role

The Culinary Lead at Sur La Table is responsible for leading the culinary team to ensure exceptional customer service and product knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Train and mentor culinary staff in product knowledge and customer service skills
  • Manage inventory levels and ensure compliance with food safety standards
  • Develop and implement training programs for new and existing culinary staff
  • Assist in managing the store's social media presence and online marketing efforts
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance the overall shopping experience

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, culinary arts, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role within a retail or restaurant setting
  • Experience with food safety regulations and procedures
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment and techniques
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
