About the role
The Culinary Lead at Sur La Table is responsible for leading the culinary team to ensure exceptional customer service and product knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Train and mentor culinary staff in product knowledge and customer service skills
- Manage inventory levels and ensure compliance with food safety standards
- Develop and implement training programs for new and existing culinary staff
- Assist in managing the store's social media presence and online marketing efforts
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance the overall shopping experience
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, culinary arts, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role within a retail or restaurant setting
- Experience with food safety regulations and procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
Qualifications
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment and techniques
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
