About the role
The Culinary Coordinator directs daily operations of the back of the house team. Interviews, onboards, schedules all back of the house team members. Responsible for purchasing and storage, food preparation to include hands-on-cooking, sanitation and nutritional care involvement.
Requirements
- A minimum of three years' Dining Services/Restaurant experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- Leadership experience preferred
- Experience with scratch cooking
- Experience in an independent or assisted living community preferred depending on location of position
- Experience managing a point of sale (POS) system and resident market preferred depending on location of position
- Serve Safe Certified preferred; must complete within 3 months of hire
- Basic computer skills are required including regular usage of Microsoft 365 and electronic menu planning software
- Must be able to communicate by email with leadership
- Be able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing with residents, resident families, and team members
- Possess strong interpersonal skills to support, advise, coach, and influence others

Pay & Schedule
- Full-time; Hourly, Non-exempt
- Rotating shifts; 40 hours per week
- Starting Pay: $20.31/hour - $24.00/hour; Depending on experience
