About the role
Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce cross‑sectional images of patients' bones, organs, and tissues for medical diagnosis. Performs various imaging procedures, including general radiography and fluoroscopy, ensuring accurate image transfer and maintaining patient confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care across all ages from adolescence to geriatric.
- Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation.
- Uses PACS and teleradiology systems for image transfer.
- Maintains accurate records, files, and billing information.
- Performs routine equipment maintenance and manages supply inventory.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in R.T. (R)(CT) or R.T. (R) (required).
- Advanced Certification in CT (required in some states, preferred in others).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
- Venipuncture certification (preferred in some locations).
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology (preferred).
