About the role
Operate computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs, and tissues for medical diagnosis. Perform various imaging procedures, including general radiography and fluoroscopy.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care across all age groups.
- Produce sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation.
- Use PACS and teleradiology systems to transfer images accurately.
- Maintain accurate records, files, and billing information, ensuring patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
- Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment and manage supply inventory.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in R.T. (R)(CT) or R.T. (R), with advanced certification in CT preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; venipuncture certification preferred in some regions.
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology preferred.
- Ability to operate imaging equipment, assess patient needs, and adhere to safety and confidentiality protocols.
