About the Role
Seeking an experienced ICU nurse for a travel assignment with a focus on critical care, including ECMO, IABP, Impella, LVAD, and CRRT management. The role involves providing care to adult and geriatric patients, floating across various UCSF facilities and units such as TCUs, ED, and PACU.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality bedside critical care, including ECMO patient management.
- Float to multiple units and locations as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- Complete required pre-employment modules and maintain certifications.
- Participate in variable 12-hour day/night shifts, with potential shift changes between cycles.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years recent ICU experience, with at least 1 year of travel ICU work in the past 5 years.
- 48 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience and trauma level 2 experience.
- Proficiency with ECMO and related devices; recent ECMO experience preferred.
- California RN license, valid BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications.
- Ability to float across departments and facilities, with flexibility in scheduling.
Additional Details

- Must complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
- COVID vaccination and booster are mandatory.
- Proof of licensure renewal, references, and identification required.
- RTO requests are to be submitted upfront, with a maximum of 7 days off.
