Critical Care Float Pool - Travel Registered Nurse - $2070 per week.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced critical care nurse for a travel assignment, performing night shifts with a focus on acute patient care. This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, providing advanced critical care and performing high-acuity interventions.

Responsibilities

• Providing advanced critical care, including titration of vesicant meds, vent management, trach care, and PA catheter setup.
• Performing procedures such as cardioversion, central line insertion, chest tube management, and other high-acuity interventions.
• Filling in various units as needed, with potential for floating across departments.
• Utilizing specialized equipment like IABP, Impella, CRRT, vents, and telemetry.
• Adhering to patient ratios of 1/1, 2/1, or occasionally 3/1 depending on acuity.

Qualifications & Skills

• Valid North Carolina or compact nurse license.
• At least 24 months of recent critical care experience, including float pool and acute care.
• Preferred familiarity with pressors, sedation, paralytics, and advanced procedures like TEE and transvenous pacing.
• Certifications in BLS, ACLS, CCRN, and NIHSS are required.
• Driver’s license and references from recent roles needed.

Additional Details

• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; travel only, no local candidates.
• Auto-offer position requiring quick response; no interview needed unless requested.
• Maximum time off is 10 days; scheduling coordinated with the manager.
• Expected to work 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, with alternating weekends.
