About the role
We are seeking dedicated Crisis Service Professionals to provide on‑call crisis response, risk assessments, and mobile support to individuals experiencing mental health emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Responding to crisis calls and providing mobile crisis intervention
- Conducting risk assessments and determining appropriate interventions
- Offering brief crisis counseling and follow-up services
- Meeting clients in various settings such as homes, hospitals, and community locations
- Responding to potential emergency and suicide calls
- Gathering information and assessing client needs to connect them with community resources
- Collaborating with law enforcement, courts, and community partners
- Documenting all interactions in compliance with regulations
- Staying informed on laws, procedures, and best practices related to crisis services
- Identifying service gaps and recommending improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field required
- Minimum one year of experience working with mental health clients preferred
- Knowledge of community resources and Wisconsin statutes Chapters 34, 51, and 55
- Strong crisis assessment, decision-making, and independent working skills
- Ability to build relationships with diverse populations
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to respond within one hour to county
