About the role
This on-call, part-time role provides mobile crisis response, risk assessments, and brief counseling to individuals experiencing mental health emergencies in Adams and Juneau Counties.
Responsibilities
- Respond to crisis calls and conduct face-to-face risk assessments
- Provide brief counseling and safety planning on scene
- Connect clients with community resources and follow-up supports
- Collaborate with law enforcement, healthcare providers, and community partners
- Document all client interactions in compliance with agency and regulatory standards
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant laws, ethical guidelines, and best practices
- Uphold and advance the organization’s mission and values
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or closely related field
- One year of experience in mental health, crisis intervention, or behavioral health services preferred
- Strong crisis assessment and de-escalation skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to respond to calls within one hour when on-call
Schedule
- Flexible on-call shifts including overnights and weekends
- Some daytime training sessions and team meetings required
