Crisis Response - On-Call, Flexible Overnight Shifts

About the role

This on-call, part-time role provides mobile crisis response, risk assessments, and brief counseling to individuals experiencing mental health emergencies in Adams and Juneau Counties.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to crisis calls and conduct face-to-face risk assessments
  • Provide brief counseling and safety planning on scene
  • Connect clients with community resources and follow-up supports
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, healthcare providers, and community partners
  • Document all client interactions in compliance with agency and regulatory standards
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant laws, ethical guidelines, and best practices
  • Uphold and advance the organization’s mission and values

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or closely related field
  • One year of experience in mental health, crisis intervention, or behavioral health services preferred
  • Strong crisis assessment and de-escalation skills
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to respond to calls within one hour when on-call

Schedule

  • Flexible on-call shifts including overnights and weekends
  • Some daytime training sessions and team meetings required
