About the role

We are seeking dedicated Crisis Service Professionals to provide on‑call crisis response, risk assessments, and mobile support for individuals experiencing mental health emergencies.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to crisis calls and provide mobile crisis response
  • Conduct risk assessments and determine appropriate interventions
  • Offer brief crisis counseling and follow-up services
  • Meet clients in various settings such as homes, hospitals, law enforcement facilities, or community locations
  • Respond to potential suicide or emergency calls
  • Gather information from interviews, records, and collateral contacts
  • Assess client needs and connect clients to community resources
  • Maintain relationships with county staff, law enforcement, courts, and community partners
  • Document client interactions in compliance with regulations
  • Identify service gaps and recommend improvements
  • Stay informed on laws, procedures, and best practices related to crisis services

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field
  • Preferably one year of experience working with mental health clients
  • Knowledge of community resources and Wisconsin statutes
  • Strong crisis assessment and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently, multitask, and maintain professionalism under pressure
  • Effective relationship-building with diverse populations
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, with ability to respond within one hour in the service area
