About the role
We are seeking dedicated Crisis Service Professionals to provide on‑call crisis response, risk assessments, and mobile support for individuals experiencing mental health emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Respond to crisis calls and provide mobile crisis response
- Conduct risk assessments and determine appropriate interventions
- Offer brief crisis counseling and follow-up services
- Meet clients in various settings such as homes, hospitals, law enforcement facilities, or community locations
- Respond to potential suicide or emergency calls
- Gather information from interviews, records, and collateral contacts
- Assess client needs and connect clients to community resources
- Maintain relationships with county staff, law enforcement, courts, and community partners
- Document client interactions in compliance with regulations
- Identify service gaps and recommend improvements
- Stay informed on laws, procedures, and best practices related to crisis services
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field
- Preferably one year of experience working with mental health clients
- Knowledge of community resources and Wisconsin statutes
- Strong crisis assessment and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and maintain professionalism under pressure
- Effective relationship-building with diverse populations
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, with ability to respond within one hour in the service area
