Crisis Response - On-Call, Flexible Overnight Shifts

About the role

We are seeking dedicated Crisis Service Professionals to provide on‑call crisis response, risk assessments, and mobile support to individuals experiencing mental health emergencies in Adams and Juneau Counties. This role requires responding within one hour to crisis calls in the specified counties and occasional day travel for meetings or training.

Responsibilities

  • Responding to crisis calls and delivering mobile crisis interventions
  • Conducting risk assessments and determining appropriate interventions
  • Providing brief crisis counseling and follow‑up services
  • Meeting clients in various settings such as homes, hospitals, and community locations
  • Responding to potential suicide or emergency situations
  • Gathering information and assessing client needs to connect them with community resources
  • Maintaining strong relationships with county staff, law enforcement, courts, and community partners
  • Documenting interactions in compliance with relevant regulations
  • Identifying service gaps and recommending improvements
  • Staying informed on laws, procedures, and best practices related to crisis services

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field
  • At least one year of experience working with mental health clients preferred
  • Knowledge of community resources and ability to learn relevant statutes
  • Strong crisis assessment, decision‑making, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and professionally under pressure
  • Effective relationship‑building with diverse populations
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and meeting auto insurance requirements
