Criminal Intelligence Analyst II

About the role

The Office of Medicaid Fraud and Abuse Control operates within Kentucky's Office of the Attorney General. It is the primary law enforcement agency for the investigation and prosecution of cases of Medicaid fraud perpetrated by medical providers as well as cases of adult abuse and neglect within medical facilities, long term care facilities, and room and board homes.

Responsibilities

• Assist detectives and prosecuting attorneys with complex fraud, neglect and abuse cases.
• Provide assistance to the investigative and prosecutorial team to develop cases for prosecution in state and federal courts.
• Work on cases related to Medicaid provider fraud (physicians, nurses, behavioral health professionals, etc.).
• Investigate and report on the abuse, neglect and exploitation of vulnerable adults who reside in Medicaid funded facilities or Board and Care homes.

Requirements

• Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
• Two years of professional experience in intelligence analysis.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to produce quality written reports.
• Ability to assimilate large volumes of information to assist in investigating complicated and multifaceted white-collar cases.

Qualifications

• Professional experience in criminal intelligence, criminal justice, investigative law enforcement, or a related field of investigation will substitute for the education on a year-for-year basis.
