About the role

Operates company vehicles to provide courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx service standards. Provides coverage for assigned routes within the station’s service area. Performs related customer service functions.

Responsibilities

• Lifts and moves packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Moves packages weighing more than 50 lbs. using appropriate equipment and/or assistance.
• Communicates effectively with customers and colleagues.
• Demonstrates thorough knowledge of the station’s service area.
• Adapts to changing situations and maintains dependability.
• Ensures neat appearance due to customer contact.
• Maintains a safe driving record as per FMCSA/FAA regulations.
• Meets state-specific driver’s license requirements.
• Works in a state of alertness and follows safe practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED
• Six (6) months courier experience preferred
• Area knowledge demonstrated
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills
• Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred
• Dependable and adaptable
• At least 21 years old
• Valid driver’s license in accordance with state requirements
• Good driving record as per FMCSA/FAA regulations

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 21 years old
• Valid driver’s license for the past three years

Benefits

Health, vision, and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement offered. Pay transparency: Starting at $22.30 an hour, with a range of $22.30 - $33.84.
