About the role

Operates company vehicles to provide courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx service standards. Provides coverage for all assigned routes within the station’s service area. Performs related customer service functions.

Responsibilities

• Lifts and moves packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Moves packages weighing more than 50 lbs. using appropriate equipment and/or assistance.
• Communicates effectively with customers and colleagues.
• Demonstrates thorough knowledge of the station’s service area.
• Adapts to changing situations and maintains high courier standards.
• Meets and maintains qualifications outlined in federal motor carrier safety regulations.
• Passes a medical examination as per FMCSA or FAA regulations.
• Works in a state of alertness and follows safe practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Six (6) months courier experience preferred.
• Area knowledge demonstrated.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of the station’s service area preferred.
• Dependable and adaptable.
• Able to read and speak English sufficiently.
• At least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license in accordance with state requirements.
• Good driving record.

Full Time, Monday-Friday 6:30AM-6:30PM
