About the role

Operates company vehicles to provide courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx service standards. Provides coverage for all assigned routes within the station’s service area. Performs related customer service functions.

Responsibilities

• Monday - Saturday / Variable shift primary on the PM, all day Saturday and day off during the week
• Provides delivery and pick-up services for packages
• Ensures shipments comply with FedEx service standards
• Covers assigned routes within the station's service area
• Performs related customer service functions

Requirements

• Minimum Education: High school diploma/GED
• Minimum Experience: Six (6) months courier experience preferred
• Area knowledge demonstrated
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills
• Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred
• Adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods demonstrated
• At least 21 years of age
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently
• Meet and maintain qualifications as outlined in the federal motor carrier safety regulations
• Pass medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance
• Neat appearance due to customer contact
• Valid driver's license in accordance with state requirements for type of vehicle assigned
• Good driving record as outlined in policy

Note: Specific requirements for operating a company vehicle are outlined in policy 4-48. Employees must meet and maintain the qualifications as outlined in the federal motor carrier safety regulations. They are required to pass a medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations.

Employees will be required to work at the FedEx location five days a week.
