Courier/Swing Drvr/DOT

About the role

Operates company vehicles and provide courteous and efficient delivery and pick up of packages; to check shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service; Provides coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area; Provides related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned.

Schedule

• Full-Time Courier/Swing Drvr/DOT
• Monday – Saturday
• Mon 7:30-17:00
• Tue - Fri 8:30-17:30
• Sat 7:00-16:30 depending on the route and operational needs
• May need to cover routes in sister stations of Greeley or Fort Collins
• Mondays 7:30am to 5:00pm, Tuesday through Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm, Saturdays 7:00am to 4:30pm with a day off to be determined
• Some Travel to Greeley and/or Fort Collins Colorado for week at a time may be required

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills
• Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance
• Must meet and maintain the qualifications as outlined in the federal motor carrier safety regulations
• Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations
• Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license in accordance with your state requirements for type of vehicle assigned and have good driving record as outlined in policy
• Non-covered safety-sensitive position
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
• Neat appearance since customer contact is required

Qualifications

• Six (6) months courier experience preferred
• Must be able to demonstrate area knowledge
• Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred
• Demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods

Pay

• Hourly rate for this position is $22.30 which is non-negotiable
• Pay range: $22.30 - $33.84
• Travel expenses will be paid for by FedEx (Hotel, Food, mileage if you are not in a FedEx Vehicle)
