About the role

Operates company vehicles to provide courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx service standards. Provides coverage for all assigned routes within the station’s service area. Performs related customer service functions.

Responsibilities

• Lifts and moves packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Moves packages weighing more than 50 lbs. using appropriate equipment and/or assistance.
• Communicates effectively with customers and colleagues.
• Demonstrates thorough knowledge of the station’s service area.
• Adapts to changing situations and maintains high-quality courier practices.
• Speaks and reads English sufficiently for understanding traffic signs and communicating with traffic safety officials.

Requirements

• Obtain CDL-HAZ within 90 days of hire.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Six (6) months courier experience preferred.
• Demonstrate area knowledge.
• At least 21 years of age.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred.
• Adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods.

Skills

• Read and speak English sufficiently.
