About the role

Operates company vehicles to provide courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx service standards. Provides coverage for assigned routes within the station's service area. Performs related customer service functions.

Requirements

• Minimum Education: High school diploma/GED
• Minimum Experience: Six (6) months courier experience preferred
• Must be able to demonstrate area knowledge
• Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities: Ability to lift 50 lbs, ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs, good human relations and verbal communication skills, thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred, demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods
• Age: At least 21 years old
• Language: Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age, have had driver’s license for three years, no gaps or suspensions, and have 2-3 years of Courier Delivery Driver experience strongly preferred

Shift/Hours

Mon-Sat 6am-6pm, Shift/Hours are TBD based on operational needs.

Job Conditions

• Neat appearance since customer contact is required
• Must meet and maintain the qualifications as outlined in the federal motor carrier safety regulations
• Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations

Preferred Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age, have had driver’s license for three years, no gaps or suspensions, and have 2-3 years of Courier Delivery Driver experience strongly preferred
