About the role
Operates company vehicles to provide courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx service standards. Provides coverage for assigned routes within the station’s service area. Performs related customer service functions.
Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles to deliver and pick up packages
- Inspect shipments for compliance with FedEx service standards
- Cover assigned routes within the station's service area
- Provide customer service functions as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED
- Six (6) months courier experience preferred
- Area knowledge demonstrated
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver packages weighing up to 50 lbs
- Good human relations and verbal communication skills
- Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred
- Demonstrated adaptability, dependability, and courier methods
- At least 21 years of age
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license in accordance with state requirements for type of vehicle assigned
- Good driving record as outlined in policy
- Medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations
Skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance
- Good human relations and verbal communication skills
- Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred
- Demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods

$22 - $28 per hour

Additional Details
- This position may remain at the current station or be reassigned to another location within a 50-mile radius based on operational needs.
- Employees will be required to work at the FedEx location five days a week.
