About the role

This position involves operating company vehicles to deliver and pick up packages, ensuring shipments conform to FedEx standards, and providing customer service. Coverage includes various shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver and pick up packages
• Check shipments for conformance to FedEx standards
• Provide coverage for assigned routes within the station's service area
• Perform related customer service functions

Requirements

• Minimum Education: High school diploma/GED
• Minimum Experience: Six (6) months courier experience preferred
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills
• Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred
• Demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods
• Must meet and maintain qualifications as outlined in the federal motor carrier safety regulations
• Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations
• Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license in accordance with state requirements for type of vehicle assigned and have a good driving record

• Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance

• Must be able to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions
• Must meet and maintain the qualifications as outlined in the federal motor carrier safety regulations
• Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations
• Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license in accordance with state requirements for type of vehicle assigned and have a good driving record

Job Conditions

• Neat appearance since customer contact is required
• Requires meeting and maintaining qualifications as outlined in the federal motor carrier safety regulations
• Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations
• Non-covered safety-sensitive position
• Must work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
