About the role
This position involves operating company vehicles to deliver and pick up packages, ensuring shipments conform to FedEx standards, and providing customer service.Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles to deliver and pick up packages
- Check shipments for conformance to FedEx standards
- Provide coverage for assigned routes within the station’s service area
- Perform related customer service functions
Requirements
- Monday - Saturday variable shift with day off TBD
- Primary shift will be PM and Ramp/SIDA may be required within 90 days of hire date
Qualifications
- Minimum Education: High school diploma/GED
- Minimum Experience: Six (6) months courier experience preferred
Skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person
- Good human relations and verbal communication skills
- Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred
- Demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods
- Must be at least 21 years of age

- Neat appearance since customer contact is required
- Must meet and maintain the qualifications as outlined in the federal motor carrier safety regulations
- Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license in accordance with your state requirements for type of vehicle assigned and have a good driving record as outlined in policy
- Non-covered safety-sensitive position
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
Job Conditions
