About the role
Operates company vehicles to provide courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx service standards. Provides coverage for assigned routes within the station's service area. Performs related customer service functions.
Responsibilities
- Lifts and moves packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Moves packages weighing more than 50 lbs. using appropriate equipment and/or assistance.
- Communicates effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Demonstrates thorough knowledge of the station's service area.
- Showcases adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods.
- Maintains neat appearance due to customer contact.
- Maintains a safe and alert work environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED
- Six (6) months courier experience preferred
- Area knowledge demonstrated
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently
- Valid driver's license in accordance with state requirements
- Good driving record as per FMCSA/FAA regulations
- Medical exam in accordance with FMCSA/FAA regulations
Qualifications
- At least 21 years of age
- Knowledge of the station's service area preferred
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness
