Responsibilities
- Fiscal Reporting: Prepare monthly fiscal reports and monitor expenditures for program areas
- Record Analysis: Review financial records and apply accounting principles to various transactions
- Ledger Management: Post entries to the general ledger and prepare adjustments to correct or close accounts
- Account Reconciliation: Monitor funds, reconcile balances, and correct issues during transaction processing
- Invoice Preparation: Develop and evaluate invoices and fiscal reports for Drug & Alcohol and System of Care programs
- Provider Coordination: Communicate with providers and staff to ensure compliance with contracts and grant requirements
Requirements
Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
Employee may have overnight travel or out of county travel for meetings or training. Employee may have irregular hours, including evenings, weekends or holidays.
No telework option in this position.
Qualifications
- Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years as a Fiscal Technician and six college credits in accounting; or Five years of bookkeeping experience and six college credits in accounting; or Three years of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business related associate's degree that includes six college credits in accounting; or One year of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business-related bachelor's degree that includes six college credits in accounting; or An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes or is supplemented by six college credits in accounting.
- Other Requirements: You must meet the PA residency requirement.
- Legal Requirements: You must pass a background investigation. A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening. This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law. Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
