About the role
The Cottage Rentals Operations Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the cottages at Sea Island, extending the hotel's values, purpose, and culture to every team member and guest.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the delivery of an exceptional guest and owner experience, aligning with Sea Island's standards and values.
- Implementing onboarding strategies and managing the guest and owner experience to maintain high standards.
- Collaborating with the General Manager to develop and implement new procedures, strategies for owner onboarding and retention, and training Sea Island staff.
- Developing and implementing tailored growth strategies, researching market positioning, pricing strategies, and revenue management to maximize profitability.
- Consulting on brand development and standardization, analyzing performance metrics and KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
- Maintaining accurate inventory of operating supplies and equipment.
- Ensuring compliance with departmental procedures, including standards for quality, timing, attendance, and appearance.
- Maintaining situational awareness, addressing maintenance issues promptly, and providing timely and positive service resolutions.
- Maintaining a thorough knowledge of guest services, amenities, local attractions, and historical information about Sea Island and the surrounding area.
- Proactively assisting guests and being willing to assist with other areas or duties as requested.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited college or university
- Minimum of five (5) years related management leadership experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Willingness to work varied hours including weekends, holidays, and split workdays, with Sundays in peak season being mandatory, unless otherwise defined by the General Manager
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Valid Georgia driver's license and favorable driving record
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and office equipment
