About the role

The Asset Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring that every home is maintained to the highest standards of quality, safety, and operational excellence. This position requires a strategic leader who can inspire, mentor, and manage a team of inspectors, guiding their performance, providing training, and fostering professional growth while ensuring that every inspection is thorough, accurate, and actionable.

Responsibilities

  • Leading with a collaborative mindset, being efficient with time and resources, and proactive in decision-making.
  • Communicating clearly, providing detailed explanations of inspection findings, and recommending proactive improvements.
  • Ensuring all issues are addressed proactively, efficiently, and without delay, fostering seamless collaboration to maintain the home's flawless condition.
  • Serving as the central point of contact between inspectors, internal teams, and external partners, guaranteeing that maintenance and operational matters are resolved with professionalism and precision.
  • Enhancing the guest experience by ensuring comfort, convenience, and confidence during every stay.
  • Maintaining the highest level of self-accountability and integrity in all interactions.
  • Supporting all team members in providing friendly, attentive, and timely Five Star guest service.

  • Upholding and ensuring compliance with departmental procedures, including standards for quality, timing, attendance, appearance.
  • Following and ensuring all Sea Island safety protocols are consistently met.
  • Maintaining situational awareness of your surroundings, keeping an eye on all areas for tidiness and any general maintenance issues, ensuring that all are corrected or reported immediately.
  • Proactively aiding when needed and helping resolve any service issues that arise in a timely and positive way, following up as needed.
  • Willingly executing other duties as delegated by leadership.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional experience in maintenance or handyman services.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Valid Drivers license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Proficiency with technology and digital reporting tools (Breezeway).
  • Physical strength and stamina to perform a maintenance mechanic role, maintain ongoing, prolonged physical activity, indoors and outdoors in varying conditions, including comfort with higher-than-normal noise levels, electrical, chemical, and strong fume hazards.
  • Ability to lift, carry, pull and push 50 pounds intermittently.
  • Ability to kneel, crouch, squat, climb, stand, sit, balance, reach, stretch, bend, push, pull, and walk for prolonged periods, access difficult to reach areas including comfort working at above-ground heights on ladders, scaffolds, roofs, and buildings.
  • Timeliness and flexibility - agree to work a flexible schedule.
