Job Summary

Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, seeks a mid-senior level Associate in their Corporate Practice. This is a location flexible position primarily working with attorneys in the Corporate practices of our Tampa and Fort Lauderdale offices. Consideration will be given to interested candidates across multiple East Coast office locations.

Responsibilities

  • Significant experience in corporate transactions with an emphasis on public M&A, take-private transactions and general corporate governance.
  • A strong working knowledge of acquisition agreements and other documentation used in complex M&A transactions and proficiency in drafting the same.
  • Experience leading due diligence teams and managing M&A transactions from inception to closing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, a high degree of maturity, and a proven willingness to accept significant responsibility, work independently and manage a challenging workload within a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team across practice areas.

Requirements

  • 4-7 years of significant experience in corporate transactions with an emphasis on public M&A, take-private transactions and general corporate governance.
  • A strong working knowledge of acquisition agreements and other documentation used in complex M&A transactions and proficiency in drafting the same.
  • Experience leading due diligence teams and managing M&A transactions from inception to closing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, a high degree of maturity, and a proven willingness to accept significant responsibility, work independently and manage a challenging workload within a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team across practice areas.
  • Strong academic credentials and writing skills are essential.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a JD from an accredited law school and be licensed to practice law in at least one state. A member of the bar in at least one state is preferred.

Pay

The expected pay range for this position is $250,000 - 360,000 per year. Salary will be determined based upon education, experience, job related factors permitted by law, internal equity, and market data, including geographic pay differentials in locations where market pay differs from the national average.

Schedule

Full time employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
