About the role
Hogan Lovells Cadwalader is seeking mid-to-senior level Mergers & Acquisitions Associates with 3+ years of experience to join its sophisticated and growing national M&A practice. Working alongside market-leading practitioners, associates will advise public and private companies, strategic investors, and private equity sponsors on complex domestic and cross-border transactions, including some of the most high-profile and innovative deals in the market.
Responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate transaction documents
- Manage diligence processes
- Execute mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions
- Integrate evolving legal technologies and workflow tools into practice to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and responsiveness
- Lead workstreams and serve as a key point of contact for clients and deal teams
- Collaborate seamlessly across offices and practices
- Contribute to the development of junior lawyers
Qualifications
- 3+ years of M&A experience
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- Admitted to the bar in the jurisdiction where you will practice
- Substantial experience drafting and negotiating transaction documents, managing diligence processes, and executing mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions
- Outstanding academic credentials
- Excellent analytical, writing, and interpersonal skills
- Confidence leading workstreams and serving as a key point of contact for clients and deal teams
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with public and private company M&A
- Experience with federal securities laws
- Experience with Delaware corporate law
- Experience representing technology and life sciences companies is a plus
Locations
This opportunity is open to candidates in any of our U.S. offices, with a preference for Silicon Valley, Boston, Denver, and New York.
Pay
The expected base salary range for this role is $260,000 to $390,000 per year. This range reflects a good-faith estimate of pay at the time of posting; actual compensation may vary based on factors such as the candidate's qualifications and experience. This position is eligible for additional forms of compensation, which may include annual performance-based and discretionary bonuses.
