About the role
NHS Highland is embarking on an exciting new chapter following a comprehensive service redesign, and we are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our Corporate Governance Service as a Corporate Administrator.
Responsibilities
- Working closely with Directors in all aspects of their work, understanding their workload and its complexities to enable them to focus on key priorities.
- Providing a confidential, efficient, effective administrative service.
- Interpreting and prioritising mail.
- Developing and maintaining systems for the recording and actioning of mail.
- Preparing responses to correspondence.
- Effectively managing electronic diaries.
- Planning, organising and servicing Board and Committee meetings to a high standard, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Resolving day‑to‑day problems independently and liaising with Corporate Support Team colleagues and other directorates.
- Providing assistance with administrative processes supporting board governance, corporate records management, risk register updates, whistleblowing standards, freedom of information requests and complaints.
Requirements and Skills
- Strong communication skills.
- Resilience and the ability to engage effectively with colleagues at all levels.
- A passion for innovation, continuous organisational improvement, and team development.
- Strong minute‑taking ability.
- Previous experience in a committee and executive support role (desirable).
