Job Summary
The Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine is currently seeking a Coordinator of Academic Support Services to join our team of professionals.
Duties
- Serves as Chief Proctor during assigned examinations for the Physician Assistant (PA) program.
- Collaborates with the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine (HWCOM) Information Technology (IT) to ensure reporting tools, training modules, and other web-based evaluation and assessment systems are in order.
- Affords assistance in the creation of various reports for faculty, deans and other administrators for accessing student progress and departmental activities.
- Analyzes and reports student grades to faculty, deans, or other constituencies. Provides Course Directors/Faculty with exam analysis reports.
- Coordinates technical components of assessment, data report design, data collection instruments, quantitative and qualitative data analysis, and interpretation of the results.
- Assists faculty with support for testing and assessment issues in order to meet learning objectives.
- Utilizes software systems specific to assessment and evaluations (e.g., EValue, ExamSoft, National Board of Medical Examineers (NBME)).
- Oversees the security of tests and related materials for the purpose of ensuring the integrity of the test results.
- Maintains confidentiality and security of examination materials, student records, and testing data in accordance with university and departmental policies.
- Investigates and resolves testing irregularities.
- Maintains a proper testing environment during administrations.
- Provides excellent customer service to all internal and external constituents.
- Performs related duties as required or as directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
- Assists with the preparation, proofreading, and quality assurance of examination materials to ensure accuracy and compliance with departmental standards.
- Maintains proper records of student attendance upon arrival and departure from exam area.
- Continuously observes students during examinations.
- Responds to student requests and resolves inquiries or testing-related issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Assists with examination logistics including room preparation, materials organization, student check-in, and post-exam reconciliation procedures.
- Assists with the implementation and coordination of approved student testing accommodations in accordance with departmental procedures and university guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of appropriate experience, or Master's degree.
- Experience in educational assessment, statistics or research preferred
- Knowledge of excel preferred
