About the role
The Coordinator, Community Giving plays a crucial role in building and strengthening relationships with various stakeholders to expand volunteer, ambassador, and donor engagement in support of Goodwill’s mission.
Responsibilities
- Engage and solicit giving opportunities that align with Goodwill’s mission and interests through existing relationships with foundations, corporations, and other prospective ambassadors/donor referral sources.
- Aid in identifying and soliciting community giving prospects including foundations, corporations, and highly engaged individuals.
- Regularly travel across the Commonwealth to meet with prospective donors, including previous donors, volunteers, staff, vendors, partners, customers, and former clients.
- Support Goodwill community giving/engagement events such as the annual golf scramble, Goodwill Giving Challenge, ambassador events, corporate volunteer days, and the appreciation breakfast.
- Assist in stewardship and reporting processes, including preparation of thank you notes, gift acknowledgements, formal impact reports, and internal data entry.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must have strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, including excellent grammar and spelling.
- Must be detail-oriented for accuracy and uphold the highest level of confidentiality.
- Must be well organized with the ability to plan, coordinate work efficiently, and set priorities.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and insurance and an acceptable driving record.
- Travel across the state and to other locations beyond the assigned work location is frequently required, occasionally overnight.
- Must possess versatility, discretion, and excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a variety of diverse people in a professional and empathetic manner.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma (college degree preferred).
- Proficient PC skills with Microsoft Office programs.
