About the role

Cross Keys Village – The Brethren Home Community (CKV) is seeking dedicated individuals to join its culinary team and help provide quality meals and a dignified dining experience for residents and team members. CKV offers a friendly work environment guided by Christian values as the largest nonprofit, single‑site retirement community in Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items for residents and team members according to production sheets, using quantity recipes and portion control.
• Follow sanitation and infection control standards during preparation, handling of leftovers, and area cleanliness.
• Check plated food for proper presentation, completeness, and temperature requirements.
• Learn new cooking techniques and demonstrate them on the job.
• Participate in ongoing culinary education and training programs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Two years of related food service work experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of HACCP procedures preferred.
• PA Department of Agriculture Sanitation Certification preferred.

Pay

$16.00 – $19.00 per hour
