About the role

Our cooks prepare amazing and nourishing meals for our residents and ensure the highest quality standards of food service and the best culinary experience is provided at all times. They work closely with the Dietary Director to create and review menus, prepare food, and ensure meals are prepared in accordance with established portion control procedures, sanitary regulations, and established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals for residents following established menus and portion control procedures
• Adhere to sanitary regulations and facility policies
• Collaborate with the Dietary Director to create and review menus
• Maintain high standards of food quality and culinary experience

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of related food experience, preferably in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility
• Strong knowledge of food procedures
• Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering Excellent, Passionate, Innovative care
• Team player mindset, dedicated to supporting team members and completing tasks

Pay

$17.00 - $18.95 per hour based on years of experience, plus $0.85 per hour Hero Pay. Yearly wage increases.

Schedule

• Part-time position
• All shifts include rotating weekends and some holidays
• Morning/Day shift: 5:00 AM - 1:00 PM (no late nights)
