About the role
The Senior Organic Growth Specialist is a senior individual contributor within SIE’s Consumer Engagement team, responsible for driving the organic discoverability strategy for a major area of the PlayStation business across Search and AI-powered experiences. This role combines deep expertise in SEO with emerging Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) practices to ensure PlayStation products, services and experiences are easily discovered across traditional search engines, AI-powered answer engines and future conversational experiences. Working closely with Editorial, Product Marketing, Analytics, MarTech and Engineering teams, you will identify the highest-impact growth opportunities, develop optimisation strategies and lead initiatives that improve discoverability throughout the customer journey. This is not a people manager role, but you will be expected to operate independently on complex problems, influence across multiple teams, coach peers and drive measurable business outcomes through organic growth.
Responsibilities
- Own the organic discoverability strategy across a major PlayStation portfolio.
- Develop SEO and GEO strategies that improve visibility across Search, AI Overviews and LLM-powered answer engines.
- Partner with Editorial and Product teams to define content and optimisation priorities based on customer demand, business objectives and search behaviour.
- Lead keyword, intent and entity research to identify new opportunities across content, site architecture and customer journeys.
- Drive optimisation across technical SEO, on-page SEO, semantic content, structured data, metadata and internal linking.
- Partner with Analytics teams to prioritise opportunities using search demand, performance data and commercial impact.
- Work with Product and Engineering teams to influence platform improvements that increase discoverability and retrieval.
- Design and execute SEO and GEO experiments, document learnings and scale successful approaches.
- Monitor emerging developments across Search and AI, translating industry change into practical recommendations.
- Coach junior specialists and champion organic search best practices across Consumer Engagement.
- Represent Organic Growth Marketing within cross-functional strategic initiatives and major product launches.
Requirements
- 8 years+ experience leading enterprise SEO programs for large global websites.
- Strong understanding of modern organic discovery, including SEO, GEO and AI search.
- Experience optimising for AI-powered search experiences.
- Proven experience developing SEO strategy and translating insights into measurable business outcomes.
- Experience across content optimisation, technical SEO and analytics.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to prioritise initiatives based on business value.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Experience with enterprise SEO platforms, analytics tools and performance reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrable enthusiasm for gaming and strong knowledge of the PlayStation ecosystem.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Adobe Experience Manager.
- Knowledge of structured data, entity optimisation and knowledge graphs.
- Experience working across global markets.
- Passion for gaming with strong knowledge of PlayStation products and franchises.
Pay
The estimated base pay range for this role is $74.62—$111.92 USD per hour. At SIE, working with our partners, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location. Please note that the individual base pay range may vary based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
