About the role

The CCS Systems & Change Management team helps create the operational 'connective tissue' required for philanthropy to thrive. This role involves managing transformational projects from inception to recommendations to implementation and full adoption, applying critical and strategic thinking to quickly identify the crux of a problem, question or issue.

Responsibilities

  • Successfully lead and manage transformational projects from inception to recommendations to implementation and full adoption
  • Apply critical and strategic thinking to quickly identify the crux of a problem, question or issue
  • Communicate clearly, concisely, and logically (both verbally and in writing), convey information visually in a compelling manner, and articulate strategies with a point of view for a variety of audiences
  • Conduct discovery interviews, facilitate workshops, develop and lead Learning & Development (L&D) materials, and translate operational changes into fundraising impact
  • Quickly develop a deep understanding of organizational structure, culture, and motivations
  • Thrive in a startup environment and contribute to the growth of a cutting-edge practice within the firm through thought leadership, independent work, and collaboration with colleagues
  • Apply a design thinking approach to client engagements, including workshop and workflow design

Requirements

  • Two-six years’ administrator experience in Raiser’s Edge/RE NXT at a large or complex nonprofit
  • Technical proficiency to recognize, scope, and design optimal methods for the generation, entry, management, use, and interpretation of fundraising data
  • Well-versed in nonprofit industry technology solutioning
  • Outstanding project management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously with a high attention to detail
  • An understanding of systems architecture best practices and data governance standard protocols
  • Mastery of Excel and experience working with large data sets
  • A comprehensive understanding of the data life cycle (from entry to insight)
  • A comprehensive understanding of the donor life cycle
  • Experience working with stakeholders at various levels and across different departments
  • A mindset for creative problem-solving
  • Comfort with developing materials in PowerPoint to effectively convey findings and/or recommendations

Desired Qualifications

  • Healthcare, higher education, and/or federated nonprofit experience
  • Direct responsibilities within major gifts and/or annual giving fundraising
  • Raiser’s Edge NXT Professional Certification (“b-CRE Pro”) highly desired
  • Strong public speaking and visual presentation skills
  • An understanding of opportunities and pitfalls for AI in fundraising
  • Experience with the following: Other common nonprofit CRMs, including Salesforce, Dynamics, BBCRM, Advance, etc., Data visualization and dynamic reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), Common Raiser’s Edge software integrations (e.g., Omatic, Luminate, iDonate, ResearchPoint, Constant Contact, Classy), Workflow modeling and business process design (e.g., Visio, LucidChart), Project Management platforms (e.g., Monday.com, Trello, Asana), Relational database architecture and management, Query/programming languages (e.g. SQL, Python)

Projects May Include

  • Assessing the ability of client systems and processes to support high-performing fundraising programs and ambitious, multi-year campaigns
  • Developing business processes and standard operating procedures to streamline operations
  • Prioritizing data for cleanup and developing a plan for ongoing oversight and maintenance
  • Evaluating the integrity and flow of data in highly complex organizations
  • Working with client leadership to identify key performance indicators and set financial, philanthropic and activity goals
  • Developing reports and dashboards to meet client needs
  • Supporting systems conversions from requirements definition to go-live

This role requires approximately 20% travel for activities such as conducting interviews, facilitating workshops, delivering presentations, and participating in team events and retreats.
